    I'm baaaack!
So we got back *very* late last night, and in true traveller fashion, I ended up coming home with a cold (as in, it hit me yesterday morning, just as we were about to embark on 20+ hours of traveling). Which was *lots* of fun on the airplane, let me tell you. Y'see, I'd been sneezing and blowing my nose, 'cause a cold makes you do that. And the stewardess said that she hoped it was allergies, because if it was a cold, she'd have to report me and I'd get *quarantined*. Eek. So I reassured her (little white lies never hurt) that it was allergies. Grrr.

Which is to say, I'm just today checking my friends-list, and was only able to get back to about the 22nd of April--so if you posted anything I should see/read/giggle at between the 14th and the 22nd, drop me a comment here and I'll check it out! I've been having email problems, so I'll check here for comments... my email seems to be having difficulties receiving stuff, so if I don't reply, that's why!

The trip was fantastic, and thank all of you who commented on my last post--we had a terrific time, and I'll get a pic post up soon. My only problem will be choosing *which* pictures from the 1200+ we took. *grin*

Oh, and unsurprisingly, I have some ideas for my Renaissance artist!Viggo/patron Sean universe... so watch this space for those!

Off on an excellent adventure! (and belated birthday thanks!)
So I'm leaving Monday for a week in Jerusalem, a week in Rome, and three days in Pisa (yes, yes, I know, I should shut up now, right? *grin*), which is to say:

I'll be out of the country and out of touch for about three weeks (we get back on the 3rd of May), so if there's anything I should read (because yikes, my f-list is going to be *scary* when I get back, knowing you prolific folk), do drop me a comment here! I'm also going to be pretty scarce for the next few days, since packing and whatnot seems to have eaten my brain...

And also, thank you to everyone who commented, sent cards, wrote fic, and otherwise made it an extremely lovely birthday (and a special thanks to [info]seleneheart and [info]nieninque121 for the extra paid time and userpics--you gals are fantastic, thank you!). I know I'm late with the thanks, but you all helped make it a really lovely day, so thank you all. *hugs all round*

    See you in May!

    Pairing: SB/VM
    Rating: R
Summary: Sean, being pampered by his private spa boy. *evil grin*
Archive: Rugbytackling, Sons of Gondor, anyone else please ask.
Notes: A little late, for [info]alex_quine for her birthday... hope you like it, hon! This little ficlet was sparked by my spending the last four days in Calistoga, where I had the pleasure of having a similar lovely two hours at a spa there... alas, mine didn't include a naked Viggo. But it was lovely all the same. *grin* I couldn't resist the title, although Pippin in a spa would be a recipe for diaster, no doubt.

Notes: For the "Mead" challenge at [info]tolkien_weekly. The title and summary are from the Welsh epic poem The Gododdin, speaking of the warriors who drank the chieftain's mead and committed themselves to going to war and therefore dying. Which is probably a little dark for this silly drabble, but I couldn't help myself. *grin*

    Happy New Year! *shivers*
Well, I'm back... to 55 degrees *in my apartment*. YIKES!! Now where did I put that long underwear... *grin*

Happy New Year and I hope everyone had fantastic holidays. Can you tell I just picked up my mail after two weeks? If I missed anyone, feel free to nudge me!

I've resolved to write more this year... with any luck, I'll keep that longer than a month!

Heading North for the holidays--see you all in 2009 (eek)!
We're heading up to my folks for the holidays, and since I will be in the Land of Dial-Up, I shan't be around much... besides, I *have* to catch up on that two-foot pile of To Be Read books before it squashes me! *grin*

So if there's something I should read/see/giggle at/snort tea through my sinuses at, drop me a comment--otherwise, Merry Winterhanukwaanzmas all!

Archiving: Sons of Gondor, others please ask.
Notes: For the "Tailor" challenge on [info]tolkien_weekly. I'm conflating Viggo a little bit with Aragorn here, but it strikes me that Aragorn would be the type anyway to learn to repair his clothes, because how else would it get done in the wild?
